Dugs Welcome
We are always happy to meet you and your friendly, well-behaved dug! Our main bar dining area is dog-friendly, as is our south-facing garden and cozy bothies.
It’s always a good idea to let us know if you plan to bring your dug along; that way, we can allocate a suitable table with plenty of space for them to settle in.
A Few “Dug” Rules
To make sure everyone (on two legs and four) has a braw time at The Balerno Inn, we have a few simple guidelines:
- Paws on the Floor: We kindly ask that dogs stay off the furniture. We have plenty of floor space for them to stretch out!
- Keep it Brief: Please keep your dug on a lead at all times while visiting us.
- Mind the Manners: We love a happy hound, but if your pup gets a bit vocal or restless, we may ask you to step into the garden for a quick “timeout” to keep the atmosphere relaxing for all guests.
- Bar & Garden Only: Just a reminder that while our bar and garden are pup-friendly, our restaurant dining room and hotel guest rooms remain pet-free zones.
Walkies
Balerno and the surrounding area have an abundance of great walks suitable for dugs of all abilities and fitness levels. Why not stretch your legs before stopping by for a drink?
