COVID-19 Policy

The Balerno Inn is committed to delivering a safe hospitality environment for all of our wonderful guests. We follow all Scot government rules and work extremely hard to deliver an unobtrusive, warm, and memorable experience for all of our guests to enjoy.

Re-opening training has been given to all employees to help deliver a safe environment for all our customers no matter the nature of visit.

In accordance with Government guidelines, the Balerno Inn team are required to wear masks in the building. All customers are also required to wear masks other than when seated. Thank you for your understanding – and helping us keep everyone safe.

No employees will be allowed to work if they are showing any COVID-19 symptoms.

Restaurant furniture will be disinfected after use and before being reset.

Track and Trace: All customers dining with us will be required to provide contact details as part of the Government’s Track and Trace programme.

Sanitising stations are available within the restaurant for customer use. We respectfully ask everyone to sanitise their hands at the external front door unit when entering the restaurant.

Social distancing rules of 2m, or 1m with risk mitigation where 2m is not viable, must be observed when dining with us.

Daily briefings are carried out with our staff to ensure the reinforcement of the policy in line with our COVID risk assessment.

The Balerno Inn has been modified to allow safe distancing for both customers and employees throughout the duration of the stay.

All public areas are deep clean daily. Touch points will be disinfected throughout the day in line with our COVID risk assessment.
